So, those are the first things I’d get if I were you and below are how to use them.
Fill your vacuum cleaner bag with at least 1/5 with diatomaceous earth. Diatomaceous earth is bed bug’s worst enemy. It blocks and scratches the bug’s skin and will kill the bug within 48 hours of exposure to the substance. I am not going to get into detail how and why but it works.
If you see them all over your bed, don’t just throw away your mattress yet, try this first and you may be able to save your expensive mattress and spread the problem to other people who pick up from you. Spread the bed with diatomaceous earth, especially along the seam and where you can see them forming a colony. Once you are done with spraying and cover your mattress surface with the earth, use the vacuum cleaner to suck as much area as possible even where you don’t see them cause they can be so small it’s invisible to our eyes.
Once you covered up your mattress with diatomaceous earth, put on the encasement cover where bed bugs can’t get in and out of the mattress and if they are already there, you just built a dead trap by spray your bed with the earth.
Once you are done with the mattress, spread the diatomaceous earth around the edge of your bed to sort of create a border around your fortress, especially around the area where the bugs can crawl up to your mattress at night. If you bed have legs then put cups underneath and fill them up with diatomaceous earth so, it will die trying before it gets to you.
Spray the area that bed bugs might live, like the back of the pictures on the wall, the seam between the wall and the carpet, the electrical sockets or anywhere the is hard to reach. Bed bugs love to hide in those places.
Wash all your bedding, your cloth with bed bug detergent (click here for the link to buy it online.). Make sure you put them in the dryer on high for at least 90 minutes to make sure the bugs are all killed by the heat.
If can’t wash all of your cloth all at once, you can put the cloth on but make sure to spray and soak them with 91-99% rubbing alcohol along the seam of your garment before you put them on. This will at least kill the nymph that are just hatched out of the eggs laid in the seams of your garment, especially along the collar, the cuff and the area where your skin is exposed to it.
Spray and soak your socks with the alcohol before you put them on. Socks are bug’s favorite place to lay their eggs and when those little devils hatched, the first thing they’ll go to are the veins around your ankles where they have an unlimited supply of fresh blood. My sneakers also smell like new until the day I throw them away because alcohol not only kills bed bugs, but also kills bacteria that causes foot odor, so you can take off your shoes anywhere and walk into the house with your head up high cause you know your feet won’t stink up the room you walk in.
Rinse and repeat every few days at first until you notice the problem is less and less and you start getting your night sleep back. I guarantee you will have less and less problem if you follow my instructions to a T and the bugs maybe gone in a few months if you are consistent.
